Symposium in honour of the Administrative Tribunal of the International Labour Organization: 90 years of contribution to the creation of international civil service law

The Administrative Tribunal of the International Labour Organization has the pleasure to announce that on 5 May 2017 it will hold a symposium to mark the occasion of its 90th anniversary and its 125th session to be organized in 2017.

The symposium entitled “90 years of contribution to the creation of international civil service law” will take place at the headquarters of the International Labour Office in Geneva, at 4 route des Morillons.

This one-day event will begin at  8.15 a.m. with the registration of participants. Following the opening ceremony beginning at 9 a.m., there will be three panel discussions dealing, respectively, with the various facets of the law applied by international administrative tribunals, the general principles of law that guide them and some milestones in the development of the Tribunal's case law. The panels’ presentations will be followed by a reception.

The full programme will be published on the web site of the Tribunal. The panelists will include judges, registrars, officials of various international organizations and lawyers familiar with those organizations.

There is no fee for attending the symposium, but participants are expected to cover their own travel, lodging and related expenses.

The symposium is open to the public with pre-registration. However, the number of attendees will be limited by the size of the conference room and registration will be done on a first-come-first-served basis.
