Kyrgyzstan’s Project Steering Committee to review Project’s progress to date and planned interventions for 2019

Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, 15 March 2019 – The ILO’s Project Applying the G20 Training Strategy: A Partnership of the ILO and the Russian Federation (Phase 2), National Project Steering Committee (NPSC) third meeting took place at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting the Deputy Minister of education and science - Mr. Kojobekov K.G. made a presentation on the Project’s progress touching upon all relevant activities carried out in 2018, Mr. Kojobekovstressed the impact the Project is having at a systemic level in the country and introduced members of the NPSC to planned for 2019.

During the meeting, members of the NPSC acknowledge the importance of the Project’s interventions carried out in 2018 and highlighted the relevance and timely delivery of planned activities for 2019. The members of the NPSC pointed out that the ILO project provides very important assistance in improving the TVET system, not only at the policy development level, but also through hands-on implementation. Moreover, participants recognized the success of the Project on considering all stakeholders’ perspectives, opinions and interests, while at the same time integrating the country’s priority areas for the efficient implementation of project activities.
