International Training Centre
The International Training Centre of the ILO, with its
large residential training facility located in Turin, Italy provides
a wide variety of programmes in areas of priority concern to the ILO.
Designed to support economic and social development of the ILO Member
States and their constituents, the Centre carries out training for
senior and mid-level managers in private and public enterprises, directors
of vocational training institutions and training systems, leader’s
of workers’ and employers’ organisations, government officials
responsible for social policy formulation and implementation, women
in development and, more generally, national counterparts responsible
for social policy formulation and implementation, women in development
and management of human resources.
Almost 70,000 people from 172 countries and territories have been
trained since the Centre opened in 1965. It is increasingly used
by the United Nations, providing training support, in particular
in development management and national capacity building.
