ILO Trafficking Report


"Unbearable to the Human Heart -
Child Trafficking and Action to Eliminate It"

ILO will be presenting the current situations of trafficking (illicit trading of human beings and displacement across borders or within a country).

According to the IOM, the number of the victims of trafficking is estimated to be around 700,000 to 2 million. Trafficking goes on in many parts of the world including Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and a large number of children are included among the victims.

This session aims at exploring why and how this unbearable crime of trafficking takes place and the actions to prevent this violation of human rights.
