Pacific Island member states

ILO-Suva serves 22 South Pacific island countries, five of which are ILO member states. Vanuatu became the fifth member on May 22, 2003. The ILO now has 176 member states.

The ILO promotes Decent Work for all through its tripartite partnership with Government, employers' and workers' organizations in each of its member states.

The following South Pacific Islands countries and states are served by the ILO-Suva area office:

  4. French Polynesia;
  5. Guam;
  6. Kiribati;
  7. Marshall Islands;
  8. Micronesia;
  9. Nauru;
  10. New Caledonia;
  11. Niue Islands;
  12. Norfolk Island;
  13. Palau;
  14. Papua New Guinea;
  15. Pitcarin Islands;
  16. Solomon Islands;
  17. Tokelau Islands;
  18. Tonga;
  19. Tuvalu;
  20. Vanuatu;
  21. Wallis & Futuna Islands; and
  22. Western Samoa.
