Allowances and Payments
In accordance with the decision of the Governing Body of the ILO and standard rules, the ILO will provide return travel (economy class) and, for your convenience, the ILO will pay directly the hotel bills concerning room accommodation, breakfast and lunch. In addition, a daily allowance to cover other miscellaneous expenses will be provided to the official delegates upon arrival in Melbourne. Currently, the allowance is AUS$87 per day. However, this may change depending on the prevailing UN exchange rate at the time of the Forum.

All delegates will pay directly their miscellaneous hotel bills, and any other personal incidental costs they would incur at the Forum or during their journey.

Travel
The ILO will provide a round-trip economy class air ticket on the most direct route to the official delegates.

In order to have sufficient time to arrange the tickets, nomination forms are requested before 20 February 2005.

In the event that time does not permit the issuing of a pre-paid ticket, the ILO will reimburse during the Forum, the costs of the most direct route economy class ticket only upon presentation of the official bill/receipt.

Travel from Airport to Hotel
Transfers between the airport and city centre are available by taxi and shuttle bus. Taxis are available outside the Airport International Terminal. The approximate fare is AUS$25. Taxis also accept major credit cards (visa, mastercard, etc.) Arrangements for departure from the hotel to the airport at the end of the Forum will be made by the delegates themselves.
Visa Requirements
Delegates requiring entry visas for Australia will need to obtain these prior to their departure. Due to changing circumstances, all delegates are requested to check with the Australian Embassy in their locality for details on entry visas and related requirements. Visa fees can be reimbursed upon presentation of the official receipt.

Insurance
Participants are advised to obtain insurance coverage either at their own, their organization’s or their government’s expense for sickness, accident (including the cost of medical attention), temporary or permanent disability, death and third-party risks, covering the entire duration of the Meeting, including travel time.

Weather
Victoria enjoys four distinct seasons. Autumn (March to May) is a superb time to visit Melbourne with the changing leaves and moderate temperatures.
