• Pakistan: Support to the Prime Minister’s Programme for Vocational and Skills Training Using the TREE Methodology
  September 2005 – The project is intended to support the Prime Minister’s Programme which aims to provide employable skills and self-employment opportunities to 300,000 young women and men in Pakistan.
• Cambodia: Alleviating Poverty through Peer Training Women and Disability
  May 2005 – The project, component of the APPT programme, aims to address the gender gap for women with disabilities by providing support to seize new opportunities and address specific needs on technical and business development skills.
• South East Asia: Training Fellowship Programme in Technology Education
  February 2005 – The project provided assistance to upgrade the teaching capacity of institutions within developing countries in the South East Asia sub-region. A total of 20 technical teachers and instructors from vocational schools and institutions in China, Mongolia, Thailand and Vietnam were trained at the Korean University of Technology (KUT) for two weeks.
• Timor Leste: Skills Training for Gainful Employment Programme
  October 2004 - The ILO STAGE Programme is to reduce poverty and promote economic growth, building national capacity to deliver a demand driven enterprise and skills training, and contributing to the establishment and development of income generating activities within communities.
• South Asia: Core work skills and basic vocational competencies for the working poor
  July 2004 – The project will provide technical assistance to Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand and contributes to the alleviation of poverty through a study identifying the problems, approaches and strategies and providing a draft policy framework with guidelines for improving the basic skills and employability of the working poor in the ILO member States in the Greater Mekong sub-Region.
• Sri Lanka: Employment Sourcing and Delivery System in Sri Lanka - JobsNet
  March 2004 - The project is based on an institutional capacity building approach through public/private partnerships and the interventions aim to strengthening the institutional capacity of JobsNet employment services centres to deliver professional and demand driven services to 12,000 job seekers, and employers and other customer groups throughout the country.
• Samoa: The Samoa Qualifications Authority Project
  February 2004 – Integrated into the UNDAF objective to reduce poverty and vulnerability through improved access and quality of basic services, the project aims to establish and support the Samoa Qualifications Authority. This new government agency must develop the recognition of qualifications and skills, on policy advice, coordination and quality insurance on post-school education and training.
• Samoa: Establishing National Training Authority
  September 2003 – The project was a preparatory assistance to provide technical services support towards the establishment of a national training council/national qualifications authority in Samoa.
• Philippines: TREE - Expanding economic opportunity and income security through workforce education, skills training, employment creation and local development
  September 2002 - The project addresses the needs in developing human potential and local economies in the post conflict and poor areas of Mindanao. More specifically, the Project builds on previous ILO technical cooperation experiences in skills and entrepreneurial development for employment promotion, income generation and local economic development in Mindanao.
• Pakistan: TREE - Expanding economic opportunity and income security through workforce education, skills training, employment creation and local development
  September 2002 - The project will focus on improving the knowledge and skills of the target groups, and economic status of disadvantaged communities. The target groups will be given training in skills development, together with the supporting literacy and small business skills, and assistance with obtaining credit.
• Cambodia: Alleviating Poverty through Peer Training
  April 2002 - The APPT Programme was aimed at contributing to meeting the income generating needs of Cambodia’s rural disabled persons through a Success Case Replication (SCR) method during the phase of demonstration and capacity building.
• Philippines: Strengthening the Foundation of Lasting Peace and Development in Southern Philippines
  March 2001 - In support of the GRP MNLF – Final Peace Agreement, the 3rd phase of the UN/Multi-donor Programme further strengthened the foundations for lasting peace and development in Southern Philippines particularly the special zone of Peace and Development through provision of basic services and livelihood and capacity development and confidence building at all levels of government – community, regional and national.
• Thailand: Expansion of Employment Opportunities for Women in Thailand
  November 1999 – The projects aim, after the Asian crisis in 1997, was to alleviate poverty by promoting equality and enhance the status of women, in increasing women’s access to training, income and jobs and improving the quality and quantity of women’s employment.
• Bangladesh: Skills Training and employment promotion for poor women through strengthening of Technical Training Centres
  January 1999 - The pilot project field tested and adapted, in the context of Bangladesh ILO’s Community-Based Training methodology for employment and empowerment, the integration of a gender perspective. It operated through 5 TTCs of the Ministry of Labour and Employment and in collaboration with other partners such as NGOs and the private sector.
