ICONTEC delivered the Quality Certificate of Standard NTC ISO 9001-2000
to the Multisectoral Centre of Caucasia in Antioquia. Thanks to this,
the 14 Training Centres of SENA in the department are certified in quality
with the possibility to "design, develop and render attendance-requiring
services of integral vocational training".
The certification ceremony was chaired by the Assistant
Director of the Multisectoral Centre of Caucasia, Sergio Botero, at
INCOTEC's headquarters in El Poblado de Medellín, where the Executive
Director of INCOTEC at a national level, Fabio Tobon Lonoño,
was present.
Scope of Certification
Certification enables the Multisectoral Centre of Caucasia
to "render attendance-requiring services of integral vocational
training in the areas of agriculture, livestock, industry, trade and
services" based on the ISO 9001-version 2000 quality model.
This certification means that the Centre has to work under
international standards of training processes that match the new approach
of a training model based on labour competencies. It will also enable
students who follow courses on different specialties offered by the
Training Centre to be backed up by a quality seal that will tell them
apart from other students of other institutions in the competitive labour
market.
Quality certification in Training Centres of Regional
SENA Antioquia started to be applied in three SENA's centres in the
department in 2003. In 2004 other eight centres were certified, two
in 2005 and the Multisectoral Centre of Caucasia was certified today,
which means that certification has reached all SENA's Regional Office
of Antioquia.
