Decree-law 554 created the Salvadorian Vocational Training Institute (INSAFORP) in June 2nd of 1993, a public law institution with economic and administrative autonomy as well as legal status. The institute is responsible for the direction and coordination of the system of vocational training of human resources in the country. Its mission is to promote the economic and social development through the improvement of knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes to maintain a competitive advantage in the global markets. Another objective is to satisfy the needs of qualified and certified human resources to improve the productivity of the organizations and the quality of the products.
