The National Vocational Training Institute
-INFOP- was created by decree 10 in December 24th of 1972 as
an autonomous institution with legal status and own patrimony.
It was created in order to offer training services to the Honduran
workers.
INFOP has the goal
of participating in the process of integral development of the
country as a direct responsible of a dynamic, modern and audacious
training of human resources.
Its mission is
to train human resources according to the real needs of the
new millennium. The training incorporates scientific and technological
processes in order to contribute to the countrys integral
development.
Its vision is to
be the leader institution in the human resources training of
the country.
Its goals are:
- To contribute to the increase
of national productivity and to the economic and social development
of the country.
- To establish a national system
of vocational training for all sectors of the economy and
all level of employment according to the national plans of
social and economic development.
- To direct, control, supervise
and evaluate the activities towards the vocational training
in the national context.
INFOP has a Technical
Cooperation Unit that seeks to promote mutual support that allows
scientific, technical and human exchange in the vocational training
system.
