Information center
The ILO Cairo Information Center provides broad access to
information about the ILO and the world of work. The Information
Center offers access to multilingual collection of large number of
books, reports, journals, periodicals, legal and statistical
publications on the innumerable aspects of the world of work and
labour issues. Areas covered include labour relations, employment,
child labour, social security, vocational training, women workers,
working conditions and work-related aspects of economics, social
development and technological change in countries of the sub-region.
- All library material can be consulted freely at the center's
premises. A photocopying service is available for visitors within
set limits
- Sales of ILO publications are available through the center.
Success in this endeavor guarantees the fulfillment of one of ILO
primary objectives to increase the visibility of the ILO through
its publications. Payment can be made in local currency directly
to the center.
Library opening hours and address
The library is open to visitors Sunday through Thursday from
10:00am-2:00pm (except on official holidays).

Publications
The ILO conducts research a range of issues in the ever changing
world of work such as Employment, Labour Issues and Labour Law,
Child Labour, Social Protection, Occupational Safety and Health,
Gender Issues and Women at Work, Management and Training and Labour
Statistics and publishes the results in the form of timely and
authoritative publications, reports, training manuals, CD-ROMs,
videos and e-books. ILO research contributes to enhancing public
