Technical Cooperation Projects in Africa

Technical cooperation is one of ILO means of action. It is based on fields corresponding to the four priority objectives of the Organization.

* Promote and realize Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work

* Create greater opportunities for women and men to secure decent employment and incomes

* Enhance the coverage and effectiveness of social protection for all

* Strengthen tripartism and social dialogue

- Technical cooperation in Africa ( extract from the report on the role of ILO on technical cooperation)

- Regional technical cooperation projects

* JOBS FOR AFRICA - reduce unemployment and poverty alleviation.
* ACOPAM - encourage the development of cooperatives.
* ASIST - promote labour intensive technologies.
* SIYB - promote the creation of small enterprises (english speaking countries).
* PRODIAF & PRODIAL - reinforce social dialogue.

GERME - Promotion of small entreprise creation (French speaking countries)
* PASMEC - Promotion of saving and credit associations and other microfinancesinstitutions
