The workplace violence and harassment programme is concerned with the prevention of all forms of workplace violence including physical and psychological violence; bullying and mobbing; and harassment on grounds such as sex, race or ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation.
The programme conducts and commissions research on the nature and extent of these problems and on measures taken to address them. It also develops practical tools and offers advice to governments and workers' and employers' organizations on how to prevent and respond to violence at work.
The work of TRAVAIL on violence and harassment builds on the previous work of the ILO and complements that of the ILO's Sectoral Activities Programme (SECTOR) and InFocus Programme on Safety and Health at Work and the Environment (SafeWork)
