Aims and expected outcomes of the workshop

With the aim of finalising and launching a set of core tools designed to address employment creation and income generation in crisis-affected areas, CRISIS has decided to set aside some time for a peer review with relevant ILO technical units and partner agencies.

The Peer Review Workshop of Upcoming tools for Early Recovery and Recovery will take place from 18 to 21 September 2007 at the Restaurant Au P'tit Bonheur, in Chambesy.

The purpose of the workshop is to familiarize participants with the operational and training tools that are under development and/or being finalized. Further, aims of the workshop are as follows:

  • brief on the outcomes of the testing of finalized tools;
  • contribute to identifying solutions in response to major constraints encountered across the development/testing of the tools;
  • provide guidance for the finalization of the work and the implementation of testing and training;
  • prepare a plan with timeline, assign responsibilities and allocate human and financial resources for the finalization of the work and the implementation of testing and training (according to the guidance provided);
  • identify how to incorporate and strengthen synergies with relevant tools developed by member agencies of the Early Recovery Cluster.

In this platform you will find all relevant background information to get to know more about the initiative, the expected outcomes, the participants and the topics that will be addressed.
