Inland water transport
The
ILO's maritime programme also covers inland water transport. Workers in this
sector are referred to as "inland boatmen".
The primary ILO instrument concerned with this occupational sector is the Hours
of Work (Inland Navigation) Recommendation, 1920 (No. 8). Information on
other ILO standards which may apply to inland boatmen may be found in Guidelines
for Maritime Industry Labour Legislation. |
