IXth Meeting of European Labour Court Judges
This Meeting was held in Geneva, at the ILO, hosted by the International
Institute of Labour Studies, on the 3 and 4 December 2001.
Presidents and judges of labour courts and industrial tribunals from
Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Norway,
Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom attended. In addition to
European Judges, magistrates or members of labour courts of Australia,
Costa Rica, Malaysia, South Africa and Venezuela, and a Professor from
the United States also attended.
On the second day of the Meeting, the Judges met informally with members of the
Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and
Recommendations and heard presentations on the Freedom of Association
Committee and the Follow-up to the Declaration on Fundamental Principles
and Rights at Work. Finally, they attended a Workshop on the ILO legal
services.
