| National Classifications of Occupations and ISCO |
| |
Many countries have used ISCO-58, ISCO-68 or ISCO-88 as the model for their own national classifications, whereas others retained or developed their own national structures. Some regional classifications have also been developed on the basis of ISCO. Many countries which have adopted ISCO as a model have defined the structure of their national classifications in terms of a set of occupational titles and alternative titles but have not necessarily developed a set of associated definitional descriptions.
