Research Programme

The Institute's research programme aims to develop the analytical foundation of Decent Work, and to promote a better understanding of the policy instruments necessary for practical implementation.

This programme focuses on projects which add value to the Decent Work strategy. It aims at clarifying the empirical and causal relationships among the ILO's four strategic objectives and the ways in which levels of development and country-specific institutions affect these relationships.

The entire Research Programme may be reviewed under the following headings:

  • Research Programme for 2008-09
  • Research Programme for 2006-07
  • Research Programme for 2004-05
  • Additional Programmes from the Previous Biennia (1999-2003)
  • Past Research Programme
  • Updated by VR. Approved by RT. Last Updated 4 February 2008.
