Elimination of rural poverty through self-employment generation

On 17 June 2014, the ILO New Delhi Office and the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), Department of Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, signed a partnership agreement for the implementation of ILO’s Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) programme in Andhra Pradesh. The SIYB programme is a management-training program for potential and existing entrepreneurs with a focus on starting and improving small businesses as a strategy for creating more and better employment. The ILO will organize a number of training of trainers courses as well as provide technical support on rolling out the SIYB in the State.
