The Strengthening National Rural Transport Programme (SNRT) is implemented through a partnership between the Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR), Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD), Nepal and ILO.  The Project is funded by the World Bank.

The main objective is increased accessibility to all-weather transport connectivity, with focus on the rehabilitation, upgrading and maintenance of rural roads.  The Project is implementing in thirty-three Districts in Nepal.  An additional three Districts were included in the earthquake-affected areas; Gorkha, Lamjung and Sindhupalchowk, to facilitate reconstruction works and contribute to sustainable development and economic growth.
