Background
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is a UN specialized agency dealing with work and work place issues, and related rights and standards. Its overarching goal is to achieve decent work for all so that everyone benefits from working conditions that offer freedom, equity, security and human dignity.  It is the United Nations agency where governments, employers and workers have equal voice, through a tripartite structure. The Decent Work  Country Programme in Nepal focuses on promoting employment-centric inclusive growth, improving labour market governance and industrial relations, and promoting international labour standards, fundamental principles and rights at work.
In order to expand the roster of diverse range of knowledgeable and experienced experts and support service providers in the areas of ILO work, the ILO-Country Office in Nepal is inviting experienced individuals or firms to apply to be considered for registration in the roster.

Expertise/Service is being sought particularly in the areas of: 
1)    Social Protection (research and advocacy, capacity building, training)
2)    Employment Promotion (macro and micro economy analysis, labour market analysis, policy research, strategies formulation, capacity building)
3)    Occupational Safety and Health(survey, research, training and laws and policy enforcement)
4)    Labour Migration (skills certification, laws and policy analysis and enforcement)
5)    Youth employment (situational analysis strategy development, quick survey and project implementation)
6)    Fundamentals principles and rights at work: forced labour and trafficking  (international laws and policy analysis, research and evaluation)
7)    Social Dialogue and labour administration( industrial relation and labour law experts,  training, capacity building)
8)    Informal economy (research studies, training, policy work, advocacy, communication materials)
9)    Vocational training (policy research, skills testing, training)
10)    Evaluation experts (knowledge on international labour standards, rights based approach, social protection, social Dialogue, employment promotion, occupational safety and health, forced Labour and trafficking, informal economy and vocational training, child labour)
11)    Project proposal writer/Report writer/Grant writer
12)    Editors (Nepali to English, English to Nepali)
13)    Training/Workshop/Conference/Seminar moderators/Facilitators and Rapporteurs
14)    Information and Communication (newsletter production, editing, human stories writer, annual report production and communication for advocacy work)
15)    Simultaneous Interpreters:  English to Nepali/Nepali to English for workshops and international events
16)    Experts on conducting surveys on (forced Labour, labour migration, youth employment, occupational safety and health)
17)    Gender and social inclusion (advisory service, training and capacity building)
18)    Sustainable Development Goals (Training, research, capacity building)

-    Demonstrate commitment to ILO’s mission and vision
-    Strong analytical and presentation skills
-    Excellent planning and facilitation skills
-    Ability to research, analyze and present complex information
-    Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships
-    Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
-    Cultural awareness and sensitivity
-    Good command of English and Nepali languages (Both oral and written)

Required Qualification and Experiences
-    Advanced university degree (master, PhD) relevant to the areas of work
-    At least five years of proven working experience relevant to the selected areas of work
-    Extensive technical knowledge and experience in to the selected thematic areas
-    Thorough understanding of the issues of ILO’s mandate and its areas of work
-    Professional experience working in the UN and international organisations, an advantage
