43rd Session of the ARLAC Governing Council Meeting and High Level Symposium on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
Members States of the African Regional Labour Administration Centre (ARLAC) are holding a High Level Ministerial Symposium on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work from 27 February to 3 March 2017.
Ministers of Labour, social partners and senior governement officials from 19 Member countries of the African Regional Labour Administration Centre (ARLAC), as well as senior ILO officials and experts are attending a high level symposium to discuss pertinent issues, share notes on best practices and improve labour administration and manpower issues in English-speaking Countries in Africa.
At the end of the meeting, ARLAC Labour Ministers are expected to adopt a Resolution calling a series of actions, including for their member states to increase national budgetary allocations to address gaps in the implementation of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
