Awareness raising workshop on Child Labour

Viet Nam Association of Seafood exporters and producers (VASEP) in collaboration with ILO will organize a seminar to advocate and to raise awareness on child labour especially in the context of international integration among fishery business sector in the VIETFISH exhibition.


Currently Viet Nam is raking 3rd place in the world in fishery export (only after China and India) which involve nearly 10 million labourers. VIETFISH is the largest annual fisheries industry exhibition in Viet Nam. VIETFISH 2018 will be organized from 22 August to 24 August in Ho Chi Minh City with thousands of visitors whom are fishery exporters, producers, importers, NGOs, services providers, and media.

As a part of VIETFISH programme, VASEP will organize thematic seminars on the issues which draw attention of the members and business sectors. One of the proposed seminars is on the issue of child labour in the International integration for fishery enterprises.

VASEP in collaboration with ILO will organize a half day seminar to advocate and to raise awareness on child labour especially in the context of international integration among fishery business sector in the VIETFISH exhibition. About 80 participants from producers and exporters enterprises, sale and importers, NGOs, academies, universities, participants of the exhibition and media.
