Competition promotes awareness of work safety among youngsters

Prizes include gifts and recognition from the ILO, including a trip to the United Nations Green House in Hanoi.

HANOI (ILO NEWS) – Young people in Viet Nam aged 15-25 can now submit their works in any type of creative communication forms that express their own creative understanding of work safety.

The competition entitled “Smile after Work” is organized by OSH for All and Home Safe&Sound (Về nhà an toàn), which are two initiatives created by youth champions of ILO’s SafeYouth@Work project.

The competition aims to educate youngsters about occupational safety and health, spreading messages on the importance of creating a safer and better work environment for future generations.

Submissions will be accepted in written stories, essays, video clips, voice recordings, and drawings.

Individual and group winners will be awarded with valuable gifts and recognition from the ILO, including a trip to the United Nations Green House in Hanoi and opportunities to meet and exchange information with ILO staff.

The SafeYouth@Work project is funded by the US Department of Labor with a hope to build a generation of safe and healthy workers.
