Promoting equality in diversity: Integration in Europe
With the financial support of the EU, ILO and partners implemented a project aiming to support broad community engagement throughout European Union member countries in facilitating integration of and combating discrimination against immigrants by disseminating effective practice, identifying indicators of integration, developing evaluation tools, and convening social partner networking.
The outputs of this project are a website on Equality, Discrimination and Integration compiling descriptive summaries of activities and measures implemented by Employers, Trade Unions, National and Local Government Agencies, and NGOs in European Countries. A Handbook on "Equality in Diversity: Migration and Integration" is now available as a practical tool to support social partners in preventing discrimination and facilitating integration in workplaces.
