Massive Open Online Course on Recommendation No. 205: Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience

This course explores all the aspects of Recommendation No. 205 to create awareness of the implications of fragility in the world of work and the solutions implemented by the ILO across the Decent Work Agenda.

The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), jointly organized by the Employment Policy Department and the ILO's International Training Centre, focuses on raising awareness about Recommendation No. 205 on Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience (2017), the only international normative framework providing guidance for addressing world-of-work issues in response to crisis situations.

The course targets government officials, ILO constituents, partners and staff, and development practitioners working at the nexus of humanitarian and development assistance with a focus on employment and decent work in crisis response. Participants will learn about policies, approaches, tools and methodologies for the promotion of employment and decent work in situations of fragility, conflict and disaster. They will gain exposure to real-life experiences and concrete practices of implementing Recommendation No. 205 to build sustainable peace and promote resilience.

The course is free of charge and accessible from 1 to 26 November 2021 on the ITCILO e-campus.
The deadline for registration is 31 October.
