  1. Distance learning course on occupational safety and health

    The general objective of this course is to develop the knowledge and the understanding for managing the occupational safety and health (OSH).

  2. 1,000 musicians perform for World Day Against Child Labour

    9 June - 31 July 2014, Worldwide, May to July 2014

    The Music against Child Labour Initiative is gathering pace. Some 1000 musicians, professional and amateur, adults and children, in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, are dedicating concerts on and around World Day Against Child Labour 2014.

  3. Labour Migration Academy and Academia sobre las migraciones laborales (bilingual course)

    16 June - 28 November 2014, International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization, Turin, Italy

    This interregional training activity on international labour migration reviews and analyses key issues, strategies, policies and tools for managing international labour migration. In addition to general sessions around three main themes, protection, development and governance, the academy offers the possibility to participants to analyze in-depth key issues of labour migration. The academy will therefore give a broad overview of the different challenges and opportunities related to international labour migration, but it will also give the opportunity to participants to specialize themselves in a specific thematic. Throughout the two-week course, the sharing of international experiences will be highlighted.

  4. ILO's participation in the 20th International AIDS Conference

    20 - 24 July 2014, Melbourne, Australia

    The ILO is participating in AIDS2014, which is expected to gather over 10,000 delegates (including policy makers, programme implementers, practitioners, activists, scientists, journalists, people living with HIV) from nearly 200 countries on the theme: Stepping up the pace. The ILO and its partners will highlight the contribution of the world of work to the AIDS response through various events and activities held from 20 to 24 July in Melbourne, Australia.

  6. Making HIV Testing Happen: A Shared Responsibility

    Global Village session at AIDS 2014 (Melbourne) on Thursday 24 July, 16:30 - 18:00 at the Clarendom Auditorium. This session will provide a platform to present the VCT@WORK initiative and discuss challenges and opportunities for scaling up VCT through workplace and community partners, while safeguarding workers’ rights.

  8. XX World Congress on Safety and Health at Work 2014: Global Forum for Prevention

    The World Congress, organized every three years since 1955, provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge, practices and experiences for all occupational safety and health specialists, employers and managers, trade unions, public administration, insurance and social security professionals, manufacturers and importers, as well as anyone with an interest in safety and health at work.

  9. Master in Occupational Safety and Health

    8 September 2014 - 30 September 2015, International Training Centre of the ILO, Turin, Italy

    The University of Turin, Italy, in partnership with the International Training Centre (ITC) of the ILO, is offering a Master course in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). This one-year programme, to be held in English, includes an Internet-based distance learning phase, a face-to-face residential period on the ITC-ILO’s campus in Turin followed by another distance phase for the preparation of the dissertation.
