  1. Distance learning course on occupational safety and health

    9 February - 31 July 2014, International Training Centre of the ILO, Turin, Italy

    The general objective of this course is to develop the knowledge and the understanding for managing the occupational safety and health (OSH).

  2. Workshop on the Fair Recruitment Initiative

    23 - 24 April 2014, ILO International Training Centre Turin, Italy

    This workshop aims at reviewing and discussing recent evidence on the nexus between recruitment, labour migration and human trafficking. The overall framework and objectives of the “Fair Recruitment Initiative” will also be discussed, including benchmarks for Fair Recruitment based on International Standards and the development of policy guidance. The meeting is held under the auspices of the Taskforce on Migration and Decent Work of the Global Migration Group (GMG), which is chaired by the ILO in 2014.

  3. 28 April - World Day for Safety and Health at Work

    “Safety and health in the use of chemicals at work“ is the theme for the 2014 World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Marking the day, an ILO report shows that while chemicals can be useful, necessary steps should be taken to prevent and control potential risks for workers, workplaces, communities and the environment.

  4. One year after Rana Plaza, where are we and where do we want to go? Discussion on the ILO's role

    28 April 2014, Geneva

    On year after the Rana Plaza Building Collapse, the ILO Bureau for Workers' Activities will organise a panel discussion on 28th April, to pay tribute to the memory of the victims of this tragedy, which killed 1138 workers and injured over 2000 others.

  5. Course "Identifying and investigating cases of forced labour and trafficking"

    5 - 9 May 2014, ILO International Training Centre Turin, Italy

    The main objective of the course is to train participants to better identify and investigate cases of forced labour, including trafficking for labour exploitation. The course addresses the different stages of the process (inspecting workplaces, interviewing victims, gathering evidence), with a focus on the private sector (textile, agriculture, domestic work, etc.).

  6. SOLVE training of trainers: Integrating health promotion in occupational safety and health policies

    12 - 23 May 2014, International Training Centre of the ILO, Turin, Italy

    The overall objective of this course is to develop knowledge and skills that will lead to the integration of the psychosocial and health promotion issues into a comprehensive enterprise policy and establish a framework for preventative action.

  10. XX Congress on Safety and Health at Work: "Sharing a Vision for Sustainable Prevention"

    The World Congress, organized every three years since 1955, provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge, practices and experiences for all occupational safety and health specialists, employers and managers, trade unions, public administration, insurance and social security professionals, manufacturers and importers, as well as anyone with an interest in safety and health at work.
