ILO Director-General to attend G20 Summit in Indonesia
The ILO Director-General, Gilbert F. Houngbo, will be attending the G20 Leaders’ Summit, to be held 15-16 November, in Bali, Indonesia.
GENEVA (ILO New) – The International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Director-General, Gilbert F. Houngbo, will be attending the G20 Leaders’ Summit, to be held 15-16 November, in Bali, Indonesia.
The priority issues on the Summit agenda include global health systems and architecture, creating a more inclusive digital transformation, and the urgent need to accelerate the transition towards cleaner energy.
The Director-General will be addressing leaders on food and energy security on the 15th and on the digital transformation on the 16th. He will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Islamic Development Bank.
Houngbo took up his position as ILO Director-General in October 2022 and this will be his first G20 Summit Meeting.
