The African entrepreneur using technology to boost access to public health

In Ghana, there is less than one doctor for every 5000 people. That’s about a fifth of the World Health Organization recommended ratio, and it’s a situation that looks unlikely to change anytime soon. To help close the gap between people and their medical professionals, 26 year old Raindolf Owusu, the founder and CEO of Oasis Websoft, has developed a mobile app called BISA. To find out more, how the app helps the fight against HIV/AIDs, and also why BISA is soon to be distributing information from the International Labour Organization, ILO News spoke to Raindolf Owusu and began by asking about the challenges people face in finding a doctor in Ghana.
