  1. Gilbert F. Houngbo was elected as the ILO’s 11th Director-General by the organization’s Governing Body in March 2022, for a five-year term. He took office in October 2022.

Houngbo urged all countries to ratify and implement the ILO Convention 190 to put an end to violence and harassment in the world of work.
