Senior officials from Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen attended the workshop and discussed how the model could assist them to improve compliance in relation to occupational safety and health, wages, child labour, and formalization.

Participants proposed several recommendations, including organizing more similar workshops in the region, providing technical support for implementing the model at the national level, encouraging countries to expand the use of modern technology for labour inspection and occupational safety and health, and establishment of a regional labour inspection network.
