This publication ‘Mainstreaming Disaster Resilience: Identifying Opportunities in National Policies and Legal Framework in relation to Rural Development’ is an important result of the collaboration between the ILO and the Government of Sri Lanka. The desk review of policies combined with a literature review, and solicitation of recommendations from key stakeholders and experts has resulted in the articulation of a range of options for future policy development in watershed and water resource management in land-use and development planning.
