  02 November 2007 - An International Labour Organization Forum on Decent Work for a Fair Globalization concluded today with a call of ILO Director-General Juan Somavia for a “decent work movement” to overcome the challenge of growing inequality and achieve fair globalization.

  01 November 2007 - The Governing Body of the International Labour Office (ILO) will address a range of issues at its 300th session beginning, including basic labour rights in Myanmar, Belarus and other countries, trade and employment, UN reform, the impact of climate changes on jobs, development and the Millennium Development Goals.

  30 October 2007 - In the face of an increasingly turbulent and imbalanced global economy, representatives of governments, labour and employers will be joined by leaders from parliaments, academia and civil society on 31 October for a three-day ILO Forum on Decent Work for a Fair Globalization.
• ILO Forum on Decent Work for a Fair Globalization to be held in Lisbon
  26 October 2007 - An ILO Forum on Decent Work for a Fair Globalization will be held in the Portuguese capital on 31 October to 2 November to discuss a wide range of globalization issues and seek ways of promoting decent work as the key to economic, social and environmental sustainability and inclusiveness.

  24 October 2007 - The International Labour Organization today calls for nominations for the 2008 " ILO Decent Work Research Prize" to recognize outstanding contributions to the advancement of knowledge on the ILO's central goal of decent work for all.

  21 September 2007 - More than 70 senior representatives of workers and employers organizations, along with governments, gather here on 24-27 September to discuss the impact of globalizing food chains on the 22 million people employed in the food and drink processing industry worldwide.

  17 September 2007 - The International Labour Organization (ILO) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) – the private sector arm of the World Bank Group – have selected Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) to lead an international buyers’ consultative forum for their joint global Better Work programme.
• New ILO report says US leads the world in labour productivity, some regions are catching up, most lag behind
  02 September 2007 - While productivity levels have increased worldwide over the past decade, gaps remain wide between the industrialized region and most others, although some regions have begun to catch up, a new ILO report says, adding that major cause of world poverty is waste of workers' productive potential.

  24 August 2007 - The International Labour Office (ILO) is to issue its new biennial Key Indicators of the Labour Market (KILM) which provides a comprehensive analysis of the global labour market using world and regional estimates and country-level data.

  15 June 2007 - The International Labour Organization today awarded its first annual Decent Work Research Prize to Nobel peace laureate and former South African President Nelson Mandela and to the eminent academic and specialist in social security, Professor Carmelo Mesa-Lago, citing their contributions to improving the lives of people around the world.
