ILO to hold Asia and Pacific Regional Meeting in Busan, Republic of Korea 29 August - 1 September 22 August 2006 - Government, worker and employer leaders from some 40 Asian, Pacific and Arab countries will gather at the 14th Asian Regional Meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Busan, Republic of Korea from 29 August to 1 September to shape an agenda aimed at addressing a wide range of employment and workplace issues in the region.

Montenegro becomes 179th ILO Member State 18 July 2006 - The Republic of Montenegro has become the 179th Member State of the International Labour Organization (ILO) following receipt in Geneva of a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Miodrag Vlahovic, stating, on behalf of the government, that the Republic of Montenegro formally accepts the obligations of the ILO Constitution.
