People with disabilities who make up some 1 billion of the world’s population are at greater risk of poverty due to discrimination and barriers to participation in all spheres of society that can help them escape poverty and break down prejudices. Inclusion in all development activities is critical to breaking the cycle of poverty and disability.

  5. Mentawai FI Landscaping Survey: Community-Level and Policymakers-Level Dissemination Workshop

    4 - 22 September 2014

    The dissemination workshop is aimed to align understanding and terms between stakeholders on household risks, enterprise growth, and livelihood finance, to give context, rationale of the study and to seek attention from wider (provincial) audiences on key issues faced by Mentawaians and to build support among community and policy stakeholders for a wider scaling-up of the program. The Workshop is conducted in Sikakap, the Mentawai Island, on 4-5 September and Padang on 22 September.
