Le projet ProAgro Maroc fait partie d’un programme multi-pays de l’OIT conçu dans le cadre de l’Initiative Spéciale « Emploi et Formation » du Ministère fédéral allemand de la Coopération économique et du Développement (BMZ). Le projet propose une stratégie intégrée combinant soutien à la mise en œuvre de politiques d’emploi, développement des compétences, développement de chaînes de valeur agro-industrielles et formation à l'entrepreneuriat. L’objectif ultime du projet ProAgro Maroc est la création d’opportunités d'emplois décents pour les femmes et hommes dans le secteur agro-industriel.

The ProAgro Maroc project is part of an ILO multi-country program designed under the Special Initiative "Employment and Training" of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project proposes an integrated strategy combining support for the implementation of employment policies, skills development, development of agro-industrial value chains and entrepreneurship training. The ultimate objective of the ProAgro Maroc project is the creation of decent job opportunities for women and men in the agroindustry sector.
This report ( in French) offers a triangulation of primary and secondary data on several sub-sector of the agroindustry in Morocco to inform the selection of two to three sub-sectors for the project. These sub-sectors were assessed against criteria of relevance, opportunity and feasibility adapted to the objectives of the project and to the socio-economic characteristics specific to agro-industry in Morocco and in particular in the region of Rabat-Salé -Kenitra. The analysis thus identified the following sub-sectors as being the most strategic for the project's focus in the Rabat-S-K region: red fruits, horticulture (including organic products) and dairy products.
