The owner of the vessel named M/V Vassi changed on 24th April, 2010 after auction from HYADES MARITIME S.A. Also name and flag state of the vessel changed from M/V Vassi to M/V Faola and St. Vincent and Grenadines to Panama. The vessel has departed Vatika Bay on the 7th May, 2010 for Elefsis Port. Three Georgian and ten Pakistani seafarers remain on board under new ownership regime. Greek Master and 1st engineer were discharged. But the status of payment of outstanding remuneration from former shipowner is still pending.

International Shipping Federation (14 2010)
The M/V Vassi was sold by forced sale on 24/4/2010 and renamed by new owners "Faole". It is now registered under a Panamn flag. The vessel sailed from Vatika Bay and is presently at the port of Elefsina-Greece. The two greek seafarers were signed off before the sale and the remaining crew has taken judicial steps in order to secure the payment from the previous owner of their outstanding claims. It is anticipated that the final settlement will take place within a month from the funds of the sale. These seafarers remained on board under the new ownership and they declared at Elefsina that they have no complaint against the new owner.
