    Establishes, inter alia, general provisions including aims and principles of mass event, also the guarantees of the right of the citizens to hold mass events and of the right to express opinions freely. Stipulates the procedure of organizing and holding mass events. Defines the functions of organizer and participants of mass events. Regulates the procedure of application for holding an event, also the issues of place and time appropriate for holding mass events, the procedure and grounds of prohibition to hold mass event, the naming of such decision; the rights and duties of local executive body of the government.

    Repeals the previous law of 22 May 1998 "On Assemblies, Meetings, Demonstrations and Street Rallies" (Abkhori Madjlisi Oli Respubliki Tajikistan, 1998, No. 10, o.109).

    Government Decree No. 12 of 21 December 1994 to approve the provisions on the preparation and conclusion of national and sectoral agreements and provisions for a tripartite commission to regulate social and employment relations.

    Determinates, inter alia, the parties to the national agreement and to sectoral agreements. Also provides for the tasks and rights of the tripartite commission to regulate social and labour relations.

    Decree No. 421 of 27 October 1994 to amend and supplement the Labour Code of Tajikistan.

    Makes provision for adding the word "contract" each time the word "trudovoj dogovor"(meaning labour contract) appears in the Act. Replaces "of the Soviet Union" by "of the Republic of Tajikistan". Amends section 34 providing for no suspension of labour contracts or changes in labour relations (except in case of redundancy) in the event of enterprise transfer or reorganization. Supplements section 19 which fixes the conclusion of a short term labour contract in cases when labour relations cannot be established on a long term basis because of the type of work or the conditions for its accomplishment, or in the worker's interest.
