    This Law raises the age of minors from 16 to 18 years.
    The criminal penalties are applied to people who are 18 years and above, while special penalties are applied to those under 18 years.
    Juveniles between the age of 15 and 18 years and committed crimes punshiable by death or life imprisonment, shall not be sentenced to such penalty, the sentence in such cases shall be imprisonment for a period that shall not exceed fifteen year.
    If a Juveniles committed a crime punshible by imprisonment, he shall be sentenced to imprisonment not exceeding half of the legal maximum period, and he shall not be fined.

    Issued by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, promulgates the establishment of the National Association for Child Protection. The purpose of creating the Association is to combat violence against children and protect them from economic exploitations and hazardous activities. it also points out that association protects children from child trafficking. Moreover, the resolution aims at raising the awareness of children rights. It provides adequate protection to children by maintaining them in a decent environment to enhance their mental and moral upbringing.
