    Decision of the State Council to establish a basic medical insurance system for urban employees.

    Provides for the establishment of a medical insurance system for urban employees. Defines, inter alia, the mission and principles of the medical insurance system reforms, the scope of coverage, the contribution method, and provides for the establishment of a mechanism for the administration and supervision of the basic medical insurance funds.

    Circular of the Ministry of Labour on the Issuance of the Provisions on the Period of Medical Treatment for Diseases or Non-work-related Injuries of the Staff and Workers in Enterprises (LMI No. 479 of 1994).

    Staff of enterprises shall be entitled to a period of medical treatment from 3 to 24 months, depending on length of service, for medical treatments for work and non-work related illnesses.
