Second Region

Gives effect to certain rights of children as contain in the Constitution. Sets out principles relating to the care and protection of children. Defines parental responsibilities and rights. Makes further provision regarding children's courts. Prohibits child abduction and trafficking and gives effect to the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction and the UN Protocol to Prevent Trafficking in Persons.
