| Résumé/Citation: | Amends the Driven Machinery Regulations, 1988, inter alia, by inserting definitions of "bench saw", "builder's hoist", "hatchway", "lifting machine", "lifting tackle" and "press"; by substituting for subregulation 7 a subregulation that provides that every user of a lifting machine shall at all times keep on his premises a register in which he shall record full particulars of any performance test and examination and any modification or repair of the lifting machine and shall ensure that the register is available on request for inspection by an inspector; and by adding a subregulation that provides that the user shall ensure that every lifting machine is operated by an operator specifically trained for the particular type of lifting machine. |
