These Regulations are intended to give effect to part of Chapter V of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974 by adopting s.15 of the Uniform Shipping Laws Code and to give effect to the International Convention for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 by adopting s.16 of the Uniform Shipping Laws Code.
