Abstract/Citation
Made by the Ministry of Labour on the recommendation of the Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Council. Contains 20 articles. The Regulations either prohibit or place regulations on the work that may be required from child workers. A child worker is defined as any person under the age of 18 years old and who is employed by or works for an employer and who receives or is entitled to receive remuneration; or who workers under the direction or supervision of an employer or any other person (article 1).
Article 2(4) provides that the regulations are to be interpreted in accordance with the Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention, 1999 (No. 182).
