| Abstract/Citation: | Comprehensive legislation on training standards and certification of seafarers serving on board Brunei Darussalam ships. Divided into 9 parts. Part 1 (sections 1-5) contains preliminary provisions; Part 2 (sections 6-11) provisions regarding training and assessment, quality standards, standards of medical fitness, responsibilities of companies, control procedures and conduct of trials. Part 3 (sections 12-22) regulates certification of officers. Part 4 (section 23) deals with qualified radio personnel. Part 5 (section 24) with ratings, and Part 6 (sections 25-27) with manning. Part 7 (sections 28 and 30) provides for watchkeeping; Part 8 (sections 31-36) for examination and assessment. Part 9 (sections 37-40) contains miscellaneous provisions. |
