Second Region

Recognizes political diversity and a multi-party system. The State shall guarantee the equality of political parties before the law. Provides for creation of political parties, State registration, internal structure, rights and obligations of political parties, State support and financing, participation of political parties in elections and referenda, and suspension of activity and liquidation of political parties. Repeals articles 6 and 9 (regarding political parties) of the USSR Law on Public Associations.
