Abstract/Citation: Implements an agreement concluded at the Presidential Job Summit. Attempts to put in place three sets of measures, which shall seek to prevent job retrenchments,ensure that where they are unavoidable that they are managed humanely, and to assist affected individuals and communities to find alternative forms of employment or sustainable livelihoods where retrenchments are unavoidable. Establishes the Social Plan Technical Support Facility in order to implement the sets of measures. Outlines Ministerial Notification and Department of Labour services. Contains financing provisions.
