Second Region

Provides regulations relating to the composition and powers of the Council of State, which is both an advisory and supervisory body. The Council of State consists of 14 members in addition to the President, who acts as its chairperson. Other members include representatives of the political parties participating in the National Assembly, trade unions, employers' organisations and the National Army.
