Second Region

Provides for staff regulations applicable to agricultural and forestry workers employed by the State. Contains legal standards regarding the conclusion of an employment contract. The probationary period must not last longer than one month, during which, however the employment contract can be dissolved at any time either by the employee or by the employer. After the probationary period, the contract shall be considered indefinite. Also sets out general duties of both employer and employee. Inter alia, employers must take appropriate action to protect employees against occupational hazards. Employees are entitled to wages for a specified time in the event of illness. Provides regulations concerning weekly working hours, rest periods, overtime, dismissal and the amount of annual paid holidays. Prohibits employment of minors in this sector with exceptions outlined in section 61 subsection 3l. Finally, contains general provisions regarding apprenticeships and vocational training in this sector. Consolidated text.
